Well this could use a little more work but Gabe is asleep and Madison wants me to watch a movie with her so...that sounds like more fun!

(edited to add that this was shot in Macro and the flash was used i just didnt feel like playing with manual i really do need to learn to use that more but tonight just wasnt the night!)

Fat Lip!



Poor little man fell and busted his lip today. I think he actually just bit it but you could see where three teeth cut into it his poor little lip. this is the face he gave me when I told him to show me his lip. LOL he was actually a willing participant in the picture today. I asked him Gabe can I take a picture of your lip? He said Oh sure!

Puddles


Well it was raining today and i didnt know what to take a picture of so i decided to stand on the porch and take a pic of the puddles in the yard. This one i just uped the contrast a bit (after cropping to get my neighbors house out of it lol...i wish the fence wasnt there but...it is!)



Just played with the finding the color tutorial think i found a little too much but it seriously was fun to play with I need to play some more to learn to do it better!

Pirates Underwater

Well I just didnt know what to do today so I decided why not try the fish tank. I like going to the aquarium and never can figure out how to get good pics of the fish so I thought I might get some practice tonight. Unfortunately the fish didnt want to swim in front of Jack so...no fish tonight!

Grandma Kisses!

Well, I took the camerao outside today and I took several pictures, but it was really easy to pick which one I wanted to use when I saw this one! I thought it was too sweet :) Gaberiel got a boo boo so he went to grandma to kiss it and make it feel better.

Well I went out to take a picture of the light (not sure why but I am wanting to get decent at taking lights/fire) anyway I didnt like what I was getting and I saw the flag there and thought why not.

29 Month Old Gaberiel!

I had to pay him to get him to take this so it could be in my valentine picture lol!

yep totally had his hair the wrong way and i totally HATE the red background. glad i didnt pay much for it maybe i can find more use for it for the fourth of July?! How about jeans and white shirts or flag shirts? Not sure but didnt like it for this.

Same thing black and white definately like it better this way!

Ok technically it is Gaberiel's picture day but since it is Valentine's Day so I have to throw that in too.

44 month old Madison!


well my little girl is another month older....and another month closer to 4! :( i couldnt decide which pic i wanted to post so i did 3 :)





(these were taken in portrait mode the lighting stinks and i havnt learned how to adjust the settings to where it turns out ok in manual with stinky lighting. had to use the flash also. oneday i will buy a book to learn a little bit more about my xt and also some lights!)

Colors

Well went to swan lake today (a really cool place to take pictures) and forgot to take my camera. Not sure if I would have had too much opportunity to take pics with a 2 year old and a 3 year old but I probably could have gotten something. There were some pretty flowers blooming and stuff but oh well. So I got home and I took a few shots outside. Not really impressed with any of them...so I decided just to have a little fun editing them!

Here is the crop from the origional. Then I used black and white effects to change the color of them. (microsoft digital imaging suites) LOL may not be perfect but at least I had some fun doing it.

(this crop was from a SOOC taken in manual mode I cant remember what the iso was set at because I was playing with it trying to figure out how to keep from blowing the way background out so bad..it was kindof blah so I just decided to have fun with it)

Well not feeling like doing much tonight so I walked around the house and this just jumped out at me. It is hanging in the bathroom. So here it is for today a flag...of sorts.

I have been slack about posting settings and such so i will try to start remembering to do that. After all how am i going to get any better if you guys dont know what I am doing!?

(tried to take in manual mode but it was just too dark so this was taken in um...well actually I am not sure what it was set on because i just grabed the camera and shot before i thought to try manual. I should have just tried manual with flash but was feeling lazy so..this was prob in portrait mode since i think that is what i tookt he kids last pic in last night. with flash that i used a little pp to crop and then edit out the flash as best i could)

Paint and Bubbles

Madison wanted to buy one of these little banks that you can paint at the dollar tree today so I said why not sounds fun! We picked Gabe out one too and after supper they painted them. I thought they did a wonderful job! (of course I am their mommy so...) And here is where we had to go after!

edited to add an attempt at a black and white thanks for the tip melissa i decided to give it a try and even though i havent really learned to convert it very well yet i still love the way it looks :)

Well just felt like a little collage tonight. These were taken in shutter priority mode. I couldnt decide which pic to use so i thought hey...I can use 9 :) one is of our campfire tonight and the others are of corey and the kids playing with sparklers. (Dont worry mom and dad we were really careful with the kids playing with them!)

Well I have two pics today because I had already gone outside and taken the next pic today but i just had to share this one as well because...well its my gabe and I like this much better then the gumball however I like the gumball shot too :) finally decided to go take something tonight! :)

It has been a while since I did a macro that I really liked. I dont know why but I do really like this one :) It was taken in macro mode and is sooc except for being cropped and adding my watermark (because i wanted to play with it and figure out how to get it darker...which i did :) )

Banans again!

Well not feeling creative today either. Had to get up way earlier than normal today so nothing great from me today LOL! Figured I would stick with my Banana theme. Also I played with photoshop today and followed a tutorial to make a watermark. Since I did it today I figured i would put it on my picture today...ROTFL not that I think anyone wants to steal my banana picture!

Well today is my birthday and I didnt really feel like messing with the picture today. This guy was laying on the floor in the hall so I thought what the heck! Anybody remember these guys? My parents were so nice and kept my kids for us when we got back from vacation so we got to go over to my sisters house and hang out with her and my cousin and hang out at a campfire so here is a picture of the fire. It was loads of fun! (THANKS MOM AND DAD!!!!)

Ok i seriously didnt get very many good pics this day was more going for snapshots anyway of the kids having fun. Gabe was scared most of the time we were here because the last time we went a guy was dressed up like a shark and another like spongebob...he likes both but not in person lol. So I had to put the camera down. Well anyway here is a weird picture I did get. Not sure what happened but doesnt it look a little like Gabe is comeing out of the aquarium?
